I’m working on Spirit of Mana logs. This will take a LONG time, since I have to do grammar editing on top of everything else. It’s taking about 30 minutes per log.

I have 20 logs to edit.

In the meantime, have some Ys and Mare Infinitum.

Well, last Friday was the first time I ran combat using 3.5e.

I dunno. It got better the more I got into it (I did it on purpose to have three consecutive encounters), but there was nothing overly complicated about the fights (just a STR/DEX check for tripping).

However, I still feel kinda lost, and I feel bad asking my own players to help me with the system. Yay, incompetent GMs.

I’m still at a loss with what to do, though; Tabar’s a Paladin very buff Favoured Soul and Logan’s a Beguiler. I can throw stuff at Tabar no problem, but Logan has exactly 13 HP…

** Logan frowns and grips his wrist before extending both arms outward to either side. “Unravel, burning roots of the West Wind…” Logan’s hands take on a distinct, flaming red glow as a runed circle swirls about the ground at his feet… **

Logan: “I call upon the Consergo Ignis, the infinite fury of the fires within… Rage and fury take shape and leave none standing! Ignite, first spell… Chaos Burn!” Logan makes a broad, sweeping motion with his right hand and three large, flaming daggers burst forward from where he’s standing, each aimed at an enemy (Rheboll A, B, C)…

Oh. My. GOD. Logan just, like, WALKED into it with that with that “West Wind” description… he forgot where the Eldeen seem to come from! AHAHAHAHAHA! *giddy* XD

My name is Kierns Akers. I guess you can say that I’m the current captain of the Lady Luck, but it’s not a post that I really wanted.

I’m an Artificer, a Wavemaster who’s capable of manipulating circuitry and machinery. This apparently makes me very desirable to the Empire, since very few Artificers leave Risidor III, the storm planet that I come from. I’ve been able to lay low until now, serving on board the Lady Luck as the ship’s engineer. Her captain and my boss, Tarska, was leader of Tarska’s Raiders, a group of pirates who’d raid merchant ships.

My life turned upside down when I came across a box that the Raiders had pillaged from an Empire ship. It turned out that there was a living, breathing girl inside named Measure, and once she woke up, she thought that I was her master.

After losing most of our crew and dealing with an Ursaren mercenary named Hunter who was after Measure (and who technically ended up joining us), not to mention dealing with my (temporary) capture by the Empire, I found out that Measure “belonged” to Chord, an elf that apparently orchestrated the destruction of a planet hundreds of years ago. Using the power inside Chord’s ship, the Wraith, I somehow managed to learn how to control the power of the Great Machine — the universe — and with Measure’s help, I managed to destroy Chord… but I wasn’t quick enough to save the boss, who died in the fight…

His last request was for me to send word to his family, which I will gladly do… but given that the Empire knows the Lady Luck, I’m not sure it would be wise to take it…

Hunter’s ship should still be on Machis Beta, and if it isn’t, we should be able to find clues as to where the Empire took it. It would really pain me to leave the Lady Luck behind, but I don’t think four people can man a raiding-class ship by themselves…

We’ll see what happens.

Because I’m a little edgy about Livejournal’s lack of logic with regards to what’s considered “harmful” to children on the internet. Homosexuality is, apparently, but pro-anorexic communities aren’t.

Right.

So here I’ll be posting all my roleplaying-related posts. There might be a little fiction thrown in for good measure, but just to warn you, I don’t write terribly well. ^^
