I didn’t hit my 30,000 words, but I didn’t expect the cat to try to kill me (I’ll blog about that tomorrow in my other blog).
By my estimates, I figure I’m only a fifth through the ??? story. This will cause problems.
From: That Untitled Story
Samsara leaned back in her chair, contemplating the children’s words. “Naril, what year is it?”
“Ah…” Naril blinked at the sudden off- topic question. “For the elven, it’s the 487th year of the Tael’falas dynasty…”
“And it’s 1285 for us humans…” Curtis added. “I don’t really know how the dwarves used to count, though.”
“That’s alright, because we use the human calendar here… and for us, it’s 1385.”
“Thirteen eighty-five?!” Curtis gaped. “You mean we’re in the future?!”
“It would appear so.” Samsara shook her head. “I’m not sure what happened inside the Pureland shrine, but somehow, the two of you got transported to our time period…”
“I kinda suspected that’s what happened, but I didn’t want to say… especially when I saw your reaction to the world below…” Sorata sighed, looking at Naril sadly. “I’m sorry… there’s no place called High Pointe down there… and if there was, it’d be buried in the sludge-filled water down there.”
