They’re taking a second x-ray right now.

I’m so sick from worry that I want to throw up.

Not so much an update (I have nothing to report) but an interesting tidbit the vet noticed when she showed Sky the x-rays…

My dear pumpkin cake muffin has situs inversus.

Not sure if it’s situs inversus dextrocardia (heart position is opposite) or situs inversus with levocardia (heart’s in the right place). The former’s not so bad, but the latter makes her predisposed for heart disease.

I always knew that my kitten was backwards, but this takes the cake.

What she has right now is completely abnormal for a cat her age, so the vet is understandably concerned. I’m going to put her on a diet first, and see if it helps matters before putting her on the prescription diet (which is, 99% of the time, bunk anyways).

Hopefully I’ll hear something soon…

Cas:
still not unclogged after three enemas

Myrna:
Shit
Okay totally not intentional ;;

Myrna:
At what point do we go in full panic mode?

Cas:
In an hour she’s going to reach in and break it up

Myrna:
Kk

Continuing to post Eris updates here since all of two people on there seem to give a shit about her well-being.

Sky picked her up at 7:30 and she’s still not unclogged — the matter is still too hard. He took her to a different vet since I’m fricking pissed at my regular vet for the brush-off.

The new vet is OUTSTANDING — really courteous and friendly. Hope it stays that way. She’s getting bloodwork done now and I’m waiting for an update.

Incidentally, she didn’t need sedation at all, so the initial bill was much lower than expected. She was apparently a perfect little angel the whole time. *sigh*

Just got word that they’re doing an x-ray.

More when I know more…
