A couple of days ago, I got a piece of malware/virus on my main desktop. I got rid of it, but I didn’t trust my install anymore so I decided to reinstall. I got a shiny new 1.5 TB hard drive to replace my ailing 320 GB drive, and I thoughtfully partitioned it at work to save me some trouble when I tossed it into my drive into my computer. I backed up C:, D:, and E: as images on my new data partition, and copied F: straight to it. Then I gave Sky my 750 GB drive, and then I started reinstalling.

Upon which Windows 7 complained that I didn’t have 8 GB space on C:.

… what? Of course I did. I gave it 300 G-…

… MB.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

So I’m copying stuff to Myrna’s computer, because, well, my old drives got nuked.

God.

Because of NaNoWriMo, I haven’t been taking care of myself as I should. I was eating out a lot and I was eating some pretty bad stuff.

When I weighed myself on Sunday, I thought my scale was out to lunch. When I weighed myself yesterday, I chalked the weird numbers up to my batteries acting flaky. So when we tested the accuracy with our free weights and saw it was correct, I had no choice but to believe I was down to 159 lbs.

HOW?!

Seriously, this is me we’re talking about. Me, for whom the scale hasn’t budged in years even though I’ve lost inches and inches (I went from a size 18-19 to a size 10-12).

I still feel like crap; I feel bloated, I feel tired, and I’m the poster child for Apathy Syndrome.

But hey, 159 lbs.

The BMI doesn’t apply to me because I’m a big girl (frame-wise — my ancestors were farmers and labourers, and we have wide shoulders and big bones) and it says that I should be 120 lbs (hahahahahaha), but if I lose one more pound, I cross back into the “overweight” category. BMI’s still bullcrap, though.

But hey… 159 lbs. Hunh.
