I’ve completely and utterly failed on the blogging front this year, and I’m going to go ahead and blame Twitter on this one. Rapid-fire blogging is much more attractive than making a huge, gigantic post. I might integrated a Twitter-like interface in this blog to help me post stuff, or I might go back to mirroring Twitter to here. Either way, my resolution is to use this site more next year.
Speaking of next year, I was using the calendar that came with Ys: The Oath in Felghana for the last year, and now that it’s almost January, I was going to be calendarless, like an animal. That calendar was but six double-sided 4 x 6″ postcards of art with a teeny calendar on it, so I figured, “Why not make my own?”
So I did. And I’m high on photo ink. Click through to see what I came up with.
As you all know, I get a lot of stuff done by EiffelArt, who is a really cool dude who can make pretty pictures for you. Well, I got so much that I managed to make a calendar out of nothing but commissioned art.
Behold:
I might redo February and June, and I forgot holidays and special dates for March and December, but otherwise, I’m very happy with the end result.
In order:
January: “Can I touch your wand?” (Can’t find the reference quote, but based off a true story!) (Alcedea LS, Final Fantasy XI)
February: When Darian Met Karmilla (based on this thread, AKA the “Not in the face!” pic) (Darian and Karmilla, Final Fantasy XI)
March: Kierns Akers, Mare Infinitum
April: Kamicha and Poroppi, Spirit of Mana
May: Soreas vs. Ganymedes and Gravan, Final Fantasy XIV
June: (Young) Darian and Ithan-Yuran, Final Fantasy XI
July: Alcedea Crafters Guild, Final Fantasy XIV
August: Darian and Karmilla, Final Fantasy XI (4th wedding anniversary pic)
September: Jenis and Tasha, Final Fantasy XIV
October: Alcedea vs. Shinryu, Final Fantasy XI (yes I know the pic makes no sense with 7 people, shush)
November: The Foretold Hero, Dragon Quest: Voyages
December: Tasha, Final Fantasy XIV (AKA “The Cheesecake Pic”) ♥
Current Mood:
Good

I really like this idea for a calendar. We’ve gotten them two years in a row from Club Nintendo, and they’re really quite fun. I’m not a fan of huge paper calendars, but these are so cute and fun (and customizable if self made) !
Anyway, I <3 how yours turned out so very much! :3
@angel: Thank you! ♥ I usually get a postcard calendar every year, in some shape or form, and I keep the holders they come in… they’re such a waste to have lying about, so why not? I may make a second one for work, but I’ll have to use a different picture for December if I do. >.>;;;;;;;;;
