Cas-Chan’s Obligatory Long Biography and Life Story

I was born in Montreal and lived in its various suburbs until I turned 18. I met Sky on CompuServe and moved to Alberta to live with him. I’m completely fluent in French, though I have doubts that I can communicate in English.

I’m the maintainer of alcedea.net, a website made in May 2000 to house all my crazy net-related things. It currently hosts the alcedea.net forums as well as AlcedeaWiki, a place where friends can post their roleplaying-related stuff.

On that note, I roleplay. A lot. I don’t think a week goes by without some form of casual roleplaying. I’m one of those roleplayers who plays for the story over the system, and I actually tend to work with the GM to make things “interesting” for my characters, even at my own expense. While I generally roleplay systemless, the games I’m currently in are D&D 4e and homebrew-based. Logs and character profiles can be found on AlcedeaWiki.

I play a lot of video games, mostly roleplaying games with the very occasional platformer. I went back to Final Fantasy XI Online in January 2009 after having quit it for close to two years, though I took a break when Final Fantasy XIV came out. In FFXI, I’m on Caitsith as as Darian and Ithanyuuran, and in FFXIV, I’m on Besaid as Jenis Filcobrant and Soreas Lennart.
