So as I mentioned, the CD wasn’t there when I got in this morning. JT and I went back to my car this morning and searched it, and we couldn’t find anything (but it was pouring and we were hurrying).

After I picked Sky up from Heritage, we went back to my workplace to tear apart my office a second time (effectively freaking out the late shift). TR helped out, and we couldn’t find anything.

Which left the recycling dumpster.

I dove in without hesitation. It was nearly empty, and, well, I’m short, so you can imagine how high the rim was to me. I found the packaging, but no CD case. Surprisingly, I managed to haul myself out on my own, and Sky caught me when I jumped out.

After that, Sky and I disassembled the trunk again.

And then we found it. It had slipped through the tiny space between the car and the trunk, tumbled down under the wooden plank separating the floor of the trunk from the spare tire, and down UNDER the spare tire. The reason we couldn’t find it the first two times? It was dark when I checked in the garage, and it was dark and cloudy when JT and I checked.

Wow.

Short version: ending very anti-climatic.

Long version under cut for those who are sick of me talking about this…
