I have a couple of polls on the right… please let me know what you think, either by voting or by commenting here.

I originally kept my blogs separate because I knew that some people who read my “real life” stuff didn’t want to read my stories, and vice versa. However, there’s a very fine line between the two — I roleplay stuff that sometimes comes from video game environments, for example. Keeping them separate has been a little difficult, and it’s, frankly, a pain in the butt to maintain two separate blogs (well, all of them on this site, really, but that’s a different story).

Keep in mind that whatever you choose, I may suddenly start blogging more as inspiration comes to me. If the blogs get merged and there’s a sudden influx of one particular topic, this may make some people unhappy.

Anyways, let me know what you think, I’m really curious to know. Poll closes on January 21st, 2011 at 10:00 AM MT.

Well, not really, but… ugh.

A while ago, I got a (ve) server from Media Temple for my birthday (shut up). For those who don’t know, (ve)s are basically a blank slate — no bulky control panel, no proprietary crap, nothing — and you’re responsible for administering it from day one. There is absolutely NOTHING installed on this thing, so you have to install Apache, MySQL, everything and then configure it all. This was a great notion for me as I was getting sick of working around Plesk, so I quickly snatched one up, intending to turn it into the new main server…

So after arguing with WordPress and Suffusion for the last few days, I’ve finally got a website layout I like.

The banner image is from a commission Eiffel drew for me earlier this month; I’m a little wary about having that up there when art thieves abound, but dammit, it looks good.

Anyways, let me know what you think! Now to look at doing the same for That Other Blog of Mine… (Ulp…)

Just to say that I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth — work has been extremely busy lately, and because of this, I go BLAHZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz as soon as I get home. I haven’t even played much FFXI lately, just to give you an idea. This also puts my server move plans to a grinding halt until I can take the time to do the research I need.

Anyways, not dead! I’ll hopefully be able to blog soon.
