In my defence, it’s December. And because it’s December, I’m tired. Post may end abruptly due to work and stuff.

Post about the ring coming separately. It’s too important to be lumped into a mashup.

Health and Exercise

I was actually really good until last week for working out at least three times a week (though I was working out five times a week in October). I’m down to 162 lbs and I know I lost at least one size. I’m wondering if part of the reason I feel so bleh and tired is because I didn’t work out last week at all, due to BS that I’ll elaborate upon later…

I have my gym clothes here so I’ll try to work out after work, but I expect that very shortly I won’t want to stay any longer than I have to, so I’m in the market for an elliptical.

Food-wise, I was okay until about last week (same reasons). I love cooking, so I have no idea why I don’t do that more often.

More under the cut, because I like keeping your RSS readers sane.

So I had a message on my machine when I got home from the insurance “broker” (I use quotes because they really only sell one company’s insurance) saying to call “right away”. Turns out that because of my “claim” (quotes again because because we all know how that went), they say we have foundation damage (which we proved otherwise), and thus will not insure us until we can prove that the grading’s correct on the house, that the foundation has no damage, and that we’ve changed the sump pump. Oh, and we need to provide pictures as well.

I can prove the first one and the second one (through the first one), but I can’t find the receipt for the third one… and why should they care? We did NOT put a claim in.

Oh, oh, and to make matters worse? The adjuster’s report apparently says that it’s “sump overflow damage” and not “seepage” like she said it was and that we “declined the coverage”.

WHAT.

WE did not decline coverage… THEY did.

What the hell is this shit?

So I’m calling pretty much every broker I know. I doubt I’ll be able to move away from Intact on the car side because of my accident, but I want to move at least my home insurance.

Seriously, Intact? Seriously?

I seem to be in one of those moods where I just don’t feel like being social. I haven’t posted here in a wicked long time, and even That Other Blog of Mine hasn’t seen anything since Week 3 of NaNoWriMo (Reader’s Digest version: I won). Not too sure what’s causing this — could be internal factors, could be everything else — but yes, I’m alive.

So let’s see what’s shaking in Cas’ world:

NaNoWriMo 2010

There will be a post sometime this week about this on That Other Blog of Mine, but yes, I did manage to finish on Monday the 29th. Well, “finish” — I hit 50,000 words, and I’m about 75% done all the stories. In fact, the only story I did manage to complete was the psycho crack story, which NO ONE will ever see (I’m that embarrassed about it). However, my drive to finish it all went down the crapper, so who knows when that’ll get done.

Cas Can’t Drive

Nearly got into an accident on Friday. Let’s just say that I was trying to move over four lanes, and if the white car behind me in the next lane over hadn’t slowed down, Id’ve smacked right into them. I just can’t see anything in that stupid blind spot and it’s really disturbing me. I’m sorry, mister/miss driver in that car.

I mostly posted that here because I needed to confess somehow.

Eris Is Sick

Eris is in the vet hospital today (and she’s been in and out since Friday). Same thing as before. There’s a new food the vet and I want to try which is supposed to do wonders for her condition, but we can’t do anything until she’s cleared up.

She seemed okay on Saturday, but Sunday she was bloated up like a balloon… Anyways, bottom line, the treatment on Friday didn’t work, so I think they’re going to put her under today and, um, scoop out.

Cas Is Sick

In other news, the sun rises in the east. Yes, I’m sick again, and Mr. Cough has been plaguing my existence for the last two weeks. I’m at the stage of the game where I might as well eat cheap food since it’ll come out the wrong way before bed. Worse, half my Cotridin went down the drain because I dropped the bottle, and the other half is tainted with water. Awesome.

I feel drained, stressed and constantly on edge… possibly because of the Cas Can’t Drive incident, possibly because of Eris, possibly because of this sickness, or a combination of everything. I daresay that I’ve been getting panic attacks, which falls in the Really Not Good™ category…

Oh, and after getting sick on Saturday night, I now have these really big bags under my eyes, and they’re peppered with red dots. I usually get that if I cry a lot, and it usually goes away after a day… still there today, though.

Cas Loves FFXIV

I managed to get ALC 27 and TAN 9 this weekend on Jenis, and Soreas is a hair away from MRD 20. However, I’m finding myself not having to THINK while playing, which isn’t really good… hope it’s not a sign I’m getting bored with it.

Cas Has Hope for FFXI?

The big patch is out and the level cap is 90 now. Ugh. I’d given up on levelling, but what I’m hearing is that Dominion seems to be the key to getting level 90, at least for me (who doesn’t like 18-man, 9-hour long Abyssea parties where you can’t even take a piss). I still have my doubts, but it’s a hell of a lot more hope than I had a month ago. We’ll have to see what goes on…

I work at a place where part of my job involves answering a service line for the first couple of hours in my shift. This isn’t a bad thing and I can deal with it. I can also usually deal with irate customers, but this isn’t what this post is about.

I got a phone call from $hospital from someone who was doing some back and forth with one of our techs here for an instrument that was down. I’d spoken to her yesterday and nothing was amiss. But today, for reasons I still don’t understand — bad connection, sunspots, SOMETHING — something went TERRIBLY wrong when I picked up the phone, and her voice came out of my receiver about ten times louder than it should have… and she wasn’t even yelling!

Dear mother of God, it HURTS. It’s as if someone took a very sharp object and kinda scraped my eardrum a bit. I thought it would go away, but it evidently didn’t, so I went to the doctor thinking my eardrum might be ruptured. It wasn’t, thank goodness, but it was irritated as all hell. I was prescribed some drops to help against the irritation.

So… yeah. Just another chapter in “Cas-chan injures herself in strange and impossible ways”. (It doesn’t beat the throwing out my shoulder by cutting a piece of french toast.)
