I get a lot of commissions from EiffelArt. I have a wicked good imagination, but I can’t draw anything better than stick figures, so I hire him to draw the pretty pictures that I see in my mind.
Despite the fact that I barely blog about it, we’ve been knee-deep in Dragon Quest: Voyages. Mark just got his memories back, finally, after God only knows how many months.

Sorta, anyways. I’d say I did more than play video games, but that’d be a blatant lie. Also, I have a terrible, terrible cold, so that’s my excuse for semi flaking out.
On Saturday, at least, I upgraded alcedea.net to a new server… you likely would not have noticed any downtime, since I made sure that the sites were working before “flicking the switch”, so to speak. I know I’m getting 500 errors somewhere, though, so if you find any, please let me know.

Don’t have much time to post, but I finished DQIX last night. I’d talk about the ending and my thoughts, but I think a large portion of my readers are actually playing the game, and I don’t want to spoil anything.
Anyways, 74 hours of my life, poof! It’s an amazing game, though, and I’m getting started on the post-game content. Only issue is that Ys Seven just came out, and I should be getting it next week, sometime. Bye-bye, life…

Hey, it’s still “today” in my part of the world, right? Pics another time, though.
Sunday:
Found out that all but three of my fish died, out of 20. Felt REAL good there. Painted the section behind where the fish tank was and decided to get breakfast. We went to Cora (busy busy French-Canadian breakfast place) on a whim and MANAGED TO GET IN. I had some delicious creton and wept tears of joy when it was served to me. Afterwards, we went to Home Despot AGAIN to pick up some wall anchors and a Cat5 cable tester, then went home and started on the second coat for behind where the fishtank was (mm, good grammar) and continue the flooring.
We finally finished the flooring at about 5:00 PM, upon which we kinda just collapsed there and waited for the basement to cool down, because hey, it was hot. Then we did the baseboards while I started cleaning up… and we’re short about 8 feet for the baseboards. Oops. But they’re mostly all in. Brought down and fixed the couch, and we put the new covers on ($82.50 Ektorp covers feel so nice).
Monday:
Unpacked the new TV to, ah, “test” it. Yeah. Turns out cable looks like crap but everything else looks nice, so I blame my signal. Then we bought Sky a new desk at Ikea, and afterwards brought my desk down, Reese down, and brought down a few boxes.
And that was the weekend. I’m miserably exhausted right now and I hurt in places I can’t even name. But we’re back.
