For the story below, I needed to go back to Empyreal Paradox to get a quote from a character. While I was there, I elected to see the cutscenes in French, just to see what they were like.

Um.

I realize that the French version is supposed to be more “true to form” and closer to the Japanese version, but for once, I think I prefer the localized, English version better.

Current Mood:Pessimistic emoticon Pessimistic

I’m pretty sure I’ve blogged about this before, but I have a bad habit of repeating myself, so here we go.

So I’m French-Canadian — a Quebecer, if you will, though the latter term brings about political hoo-hah that I don’t want to discuss here. Point being is that my first written language is French (I specify that because English is my first SPOKEN language, which just adds to the confusion), and now that I live in English Canada, I’m totally losing my French.
