I buy a lot of manga, but I almost never blog about it. I did buy a lot today, though:

  • Absolute Boyfriend 3: Volume 2 left a bad taste in my mouth at the end, but I’ll give it another chance.

  • Naruto 15, 16, 17: I got SO SICK of Naruto starting volume 12, where everything was always the same (typical shounen manga), but it apparently “gets better”. I bought these three volumes because it should pick up where I left off in Shonen Jump. If I don’t like it, then at least I only wasted money on three books.
  • Sakura Taisen 7: Not much to say, it’s Sakura Taisen.
  • Black Cat 15: It’s in the middle of a good arc right now, but I’m getting a little sick of Eve’s know-it-all-ness.
  • Atelier Elie & Marie 4: I don’t like this series much, but Sky does. (I only read it when it’s in the bathroom and there’s nothing else to read. Useless trivia: I was reaching for volume 3 when I got wry neck.)
  • Kannazuki no Miko 1: I have no comment, Sky got this one. :P
  • Vampire Hunter D 2: Sky again.

And in Vancouver, I bought:

  • Yakitate Japan 12: I’m really sick of the Monaco story. I mean, really.

  • Absolute Boyfriend 2: You know when TV gets into really awkward “oh-my-god-i-don’t-want-to-witness-this” scenes in drama? That’s how it ends.
  • XXXHolic 12: Funny thing is that I bought this in Japanese at Book Off first, then the next day I found this in English. Heh. So I’ll use it to learn vocabulary.
  • Tsubasa 17: Vampire… what?
  • ToTo! 1: No idea what this is about. (Sky bought it.)

Now, I have no room on my shelves for more manga, so I started clearing junk (as in, non-books) off shelves so I could fit stuff. I started talking to Sky how I wished our “fireplace” (really a glorified space heater, electric) could be in the other corner of the room, and when we started poking at it, we realized it could be moved! So we moved it, and we managed to thread the stereo power cable behind it, so that’s nice and neat on top of that. Makes me happy. (And we moved the painting Alissa-chan made of Darian downstairs, so now I see it more often — I should’ve done this a long time ago!)
