Well, okay. I played about 30 minutes of the game tonight.
Neku is a bastard and a horribly unlikable character. The opening is basically:
“Just go the hell away!”
“All the world needs is me.”
“I got my values.”
“So you can keep yours, all right?”
“I don’t get people.”
“Never have. Never will.”
And that sets the whole tone for Neku. He’s a bastard to Shiki, he’s a bastard to everyone… He’s so emo, it’s almost comical. The game’s also… well, for lack of a better word, “ghetto” — I feel I’m in a “gangsta’s paradise”, if you know what I mean.
Anyways, that makes the incredibly hard to play. It’s only 7 Days, but you have to go through all 7 days a few times with different characters to finish the game (and, probably, to understand the plot).
I dunno. I’ll digest the game’s opening, but this game is WEIRD.
