Not sure if anyone except me reads these, but I’m finally current on the DQ:V logs. Read and enjoy!

By the way, if anyone wonders why there aren’t any dice rolls, it’s because we actually roll physical dice — it’s more fun that way (at least to us)…

I don’t really like angst in roleplaying anymore. It brings attention to the character, sure, but it’s not always the best way to put them in the spotlight. One wrong scene can completely change the audience’s perspective on things, and since I’m more a fan of the “collaborative writing” style of roleplaying (where you work with the GM to create a wonderful story, rather than it being “HIM vs. THEM” kind of thing), I want things to work out for everyone.

There comes a time, however, where it’s completely, utterly justified.

YOU GUYS, I did stuff this weekend. So much stuff that it merits a cut. (By the way, for the curious, I’m using a plugin called RSS No More for the cuts, and it works REALLY well.)

Not too sure how to differentiate between “in-character posts” and “regular posts”, so if anyone has any suggestions, I’m all for them.

Hey, you! Yes, you with the face. I don’t suppose you can check to see if there are pigs flying out there? Because I think there might be, given the absurdity of the situation.

This all started when I went to Ul’dah yesterday to deliver a shipment of sweetbreads and pastries to a teahouse in Ul’dah — this wasn’t a regular shipment, but the proprietor’s usual supplier was missing in action, or so she said. I met up with her in the Quicksands and chatted with her for a bit, and it so happened our very own Tasha was there as well.

Well, it turns out that this tea lady had already met Tasha, somehow, because she asked something along the lines of “Aren’t you Jenis’ girlfriend?”

Girlfriend! Will wonders never cease?! If I’d been drinking something at the time, I’dve spat it right out. Tasha turned red at that and said something about being Jenis’ bodyguard, but there was definitely something there.

Jenis is the last person I’dve expected to get into a relationship that didn’t involve a flask or a book. I honestly don’t know what to think of it. I mean, I’m happy for him and all that, but I have to wonder how Tasha is managing to actually stick with the little bastard.

But anyways, apparently the tea lady (who goes by the very appropriate name of “Mimosa Chai”) is Jenis’ landlady, and that he lives in the flat above her shop. Small world, this…

Jenis and Tasha. Menphina must have had a hand or two in this, that’s for sure…

I might be doing a blog move, but I’m going to try and keep things hopping! Here’s a general update of what’s happening in the roleplaying world.
